How to Make Fresh Homemade Yogurt

  • 4 cups milk
  • 4 tablespoons of homemade or store-bought yogurt with live enzymes

Steps To Do

  • Pour the milk into a big bowl and heat till it just reaches the boiling point. Remove from heat, and transfer the milk to a large sterilised jar. Cover it with a lid and allow cooling till it gets warm.
  • Now, whisk natural yogurt into lukewarm milk. Transfer to a thermos or put the jar in a big vessel of warm water, cover with a lid and stand in a warm place for about 8-10 hours. Maintain the temperature to stay amid 43˚C and 46˚C. The more time you leave it, the thicker and more tart it becomes, but never ever jiggle it – it should not be moved while it is developing.
  • When set, chill for about 4 hours before intake.
